Vinification
The Saint-Joseph red is vinified traditionally with 15–18 days’ maceration in vats. Matured for 10 months in 225 litre oak casks.
Tasting
The cask-ageing gives it a strong red colour with violet glints. The nose is aromatic, wild, with notes of blackcurrant and red fruit, slight woodiness, well controlled. Pleasant, supple on the palate, a wine with a great deal of substance, well structured with aromas of “jammy” red fruit and violet. Good, long finish.
Serve whith
Recommended to accompany red meat, game, roast veal, well-ripened cheeses.
Service
Serve at 16/18°C. A wine that is very pleasant to drink within 11 years.
